Some timely end-of-life events coinciding with end of year
Happy Covid Holidays and Adios to 2020! š¤¢Ā I have three items to bring up this month:
- The restructuring of our Service Tiers starting January 1, 2021 for the upcoming DoD compliance requirements
- Upcoming end-of-life of Adobe Flash Player
- Upcoming Internet Explorer end-of-life
New Service Tiers ā please see the attached PDF for an explanation of the new tiers. Most of you already are aware of some of these changes, but please let us know if you have any questions. Separate emails will be going out everyone in a few weeks.
Adobe Flash Player end-of-life: Adobe is dropping all support for Adobe Flash Player on Dec 31, 2020, primarily due to it being a security nightmare. We will be uninstalling it during future Semi-annual Workstation Inspections. More info can be found here: https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/end-of-life.html
The Death of Internet Explorer: Microsoft will be dropping ALL support for Internet Explorer 11 on August 17, 2021. It will be replaced with the NEW Edge browser, which we are currently rolling out during Semi-annual Workstation Inspections. It is supposed to be able to support old IE-only websites, but we will see. More information can be found here: https://redmondmag.com/articles/2020/08/17/end-of-support-ie11-and-edgehtml.aspx
Thanks again for you business, and we will see you next year!!
